The Fishpond Story

Born & Raised in Colorado

At Fishpond, we build gear that stretches beyond traditional design and sets a higher standard for real-world function. Our roots are in fly fishing, but our approach applies wherever thoughtful design, durability, and intuitive performance matter most. From packs and nets to luggage and accessories, we make equipment that works hard, lasts, and earns its place over time.

As we’ve grown, so has our sense of purpose. We believe our responsibility extends beyond the products we make. Protecting the waters, wild places, and natural resources that shape our lives is inseparable from our commitment to innovation. For us, good design isn’t just about performance. It’s also about longevity, stewardship, and making choices that reflect respect for the places that give so much.

Fishpond is a family-owned Colorado company, born in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains in Summit County. At 8,200 feet, near headwaters that eventually run to the ocean, we’re reminded every day that what happens upstream matters. This rugged landscape is our proving ground. Long days in the wild help us refine ideas, test materials, and build confidence into every detail.

What drives us most is the connection we share with people who care deeply about where they fish, travel, and explore. We’re bound by a love of wild places, by the rituals that get us there, and by the belief that the journey matters as much as the destination. That perspective shapes the way we work, the products we build, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

For more than 25 years, Fishpond has built its reputation on authenticity, trust, and purpose-driven design. We’re proud to create products that reflect a passion for craftsmanship, creativity, and conservation, and proud to be part of a community that believes protecting what we love is part of the work. That’s the legacy we’re committed to building every day.

We care deeply about wild places, near and far. Thank you for being part of a community that believes they're worth protecting.
