SUPPORT MANGROVE RESTORATION
In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, the Northern Bahamas were left devastated, their vital red mangrove forests severely damaged. These mangroves are essential—protecting coastlines, preventing erosion, and providing crucial habitats for bonefish and countless other species. Bonefishing has been a cornerstone of the Bahamian economy since the 1950s, generating $169 million annually.
Fishpond is proud to partner with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust to support the Bahamas Mangrove Restoration Project. Through the sale of our exclusive, co-branded products, we aim to help BTT reach its ambitious goal of planting 1,000,000 mangroves in the hardest-hit areas of Abaco, Grand Bahama, and the surrounding cays. This multi-year project involves collaboration with local and national organizations and the dedicated efforts of students, volunteers, and Bahamian fishing guides.
Every purchase of our co-branded gear directly supports the restoration and conservation of Bahamian mangroves, ensuring a sustainable future for both the environment and the fishing community:
Wind River Roll-Top Backpack: 46 mangroves planted per purchase
Dakota Carry-On Rod & Reel Case: 38 mangroves planted per purchase
